Personal Story
Recently, someone called me and he said. Hi Ed, I got your number from your Dad, "I was your senior at school. The first day your dad brought you to school, I was the one he placed you in my care.
I couldn't remember him. I asked him to send me some pictures, the pictures were familiar but I just couldn't remember him.
I began to meditate on this and I realised that, he did not have a big impact on me. An impact of love, compasion, deed of kindness or even a wise council.
On the other hand, there was this senior that I remember so much although, my dad did not place me under his care. This senior treated me like his own brother. He gave me food, took me home to see his home, when I was wounded, he mended my wounds and finally when I was leaving school, he gave me some few chickens to take home. For these acts of kindness, a lasting memory was left, a memory that can not be wiped away.
These experience prompted me to write this article. Our actions towards one another leave a lasting memory in the sands of time.
